- If your PMS, cramps and bleeding are severe1
- If you have sudden or severe pelvic pain, whether or not it occurs during your period5

- If you suddenly experience cramps, not common to your regular cycle5

- If you have a sudden high fever, diarrhea, or skin rash along with your period5
